About Becca….
When I was in first grade, my teacher’s teenage son visited our class and showed us pictures of his semester at sea aboard the schooner Harvey Gamage. I was convinced then that I wanted to sail on tall ships. Ten years later, at the age of 17, I had my first opportunity to make that dream a reality and sailed as a student aboard the SSV Westward.
Many deckhand and bosun jobs later, I began to specialize in what had always been my favorite aspect of sailing tall ships - the rigging in all of its exquisite detail, both complex and simple, strong and beautiful at the same time.
After several years maintaining the rigging of historic ships at museums such as San Francisco Maritime and Mystic Seaport, I began freelancing, and Reef Point Rigging was born.
